Acquisition, Merger & Start-Up - LBG and ING Direct
Working with Integration teams, created project steps and activities within new business planning process to ensure on-time delivery of first strategic brochure for staff, across both businesses. Developed and delivered communications plans on budget and with excellent feedback. At ING Direct, worked with Directors to create UK marketing team, handling each of marketing areas until new management structure set up. Worked with Integration teams to ensure all marketing elements delivered on budget and on time for launch.
Advertising and Promotions - SONY
During the four years working for Sony, set up the advertising and promotions department for Sony Media. This allowed us to manage all activity through the Independents, National Accounts and Sony Centres. The key sales time was Christmas, so many promotions were developed to work effectively at this time.
Acquisition Programme - BARNARDO'S
Looking to acquire new business, this impactful funding campaign for Barnardo's comprised outdoor advertising with personalised posters for Marketing Directors, direct mail layout pads for Creative Directors and audio tapes to Marketing Managers. The case histories campaign pack was left with the customer after the sales meeting.
Branding - MADGE WEB
A business to business branding project for madge web; creating the brand, logo and product positioning. This culminated with the launch in London, inviting key IT Managers through their passport to a new world. Advertising in relevant press, online presence and targeted mailings drove sales calls and brand awareness.
Customer loyalty - AIR MILES
Working with British Airways partners to utilise the Air Miles programme effectively, communication plans were developed to promote the programme, collection and spending opportunities for partner customers and Air Miles collectors. British Airways partners included: Hilton, Marriott, Radisson Edwardian, Ritz Carlton, Mandarin Oriental, Hertz, Travelex and BCP.
Events and Sponsorship - ING DIRECT and RHS
Following working on the successful launch of ING Direct Savings Bank, we approached the RHS to sponsor their family events. Through liaison with the gardens, a fun, educational and green programme was created to entice adults and kids into the beautiful gardens in Surrey, Devon, Essex and Yorkshire.
Global Marketing - HP and DISNEY
A partnership between HP and Disney was developed for the launch of Disney's 101 Dalmatians and HP printers, allowing customers to make up and print their own stationery and cards for all occasions. The programme was translated for use in 16 countries worldwide with full advertising templates and P.O.S kits for regional stores.
Internal Communications - ING DIRECT and ANDERSEN
Set up internal communications teams working with key staff around the businesses to understand requirements and listen to feedback through forums. Developed internal magazines - online and paper, with regular activities communicated via intranet, desk drops and posters. Managed quarterly business reviews with staff and senior management. Arranged the fun at staff parties and family days.
New products - GREENE KING
A tradition in Greene King was to promote micro breweries. To help manage and keep this programme fresh, new products were developed with the buying team, branded and launched each month, with advertising and point-of-sale highlighting the beer's unique characteristics.
